The file 'REFERENCES' is a
compilation of bibliographic
references relating to the formation of fractures in unlithified
fine-grained materials that have been identified by members of the Ohio
Fracture Flow Working Group over the last 15 years. The bibliography was
first begun as an effort of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources,
Division of Geological Survey in 1989. It has been updated on a number of
occasions since then, the last update was the summer of 2001. While it is
not all inclusive, the bibliography serves as an excellent starting point
for researchers in the fields of fracture flow; macropore formation and
behavior in soils and underlying unconsolidated geologic materials. Many
of the authors identified in the bibliography are still actively publishing
on the topic and will have even newer publications to review as well. This
bibliography contains important publications that address issues related to
both water and contaminant transport through fine-grained fractured
unlithified materials.
