The file entitled 'Reference List' is a compilation of bibliographic

references related to the physical management issues involved in the field

of animal manure management. This bibliography was researched and

constructed during the summer and fall of 2001 for the Ohio Department of

Agriculture as a technical supporting document for the development of new

manure management rules for Ohio's Confined Animal Feeding Operations

(CAFOs). The effort was funded by a small grant from the USDA Agricultural

Research Service. While references that have been published and/or created

since the 2001 date are not listed, many of the researchers active in 2001

are still publishing and newer titles can be located by searching by

author. In addition, a number of papers are published in key

journals. Newer issues should also be searched for similar papers by new

authors. Information found in this bibliography may be useful for research

in septic tank effluent disposal and the disposal of land application of

sewage sludges as well as sludges resulting from animal manures.
